Like many of you, we too want to earn money online and are relative new(bies) to making money online.  We were forced, out of necessity to look to the internet for ways to earn money when we were volunteering, living and traveling in Bolivia for 12 months. Over that 12 month period we learned a lot – some things we are glad we know and other things well… Since returning home we have decided to do more volunteer work; volunteering makes more sense to us than working 40+ hours a week for forever and then wondering ‘why’?  So we have decided that we want to make our living on line – and enough of a living to support the volunteer work we prefer to be doing.  Well, if you believe what you read on the net then that should be easy right? Right! Or so we first thought because every internet marketer on the planet seems to specialize in making it sound as child’s play. Well we have learned from bitter experience that it is not. And we have signed up with a few well known gurus who promised the whole box ‘n dice – fast cash! Phooey!

When we first started our quest to make money online we searched for sites that provided a “no frills” honest overview of products. All we found was advertising under a (very thin) veneer of information. That situation has not changed and we have became increasingly frustrated with the lack of  information to help anyone make informed decisions. We did (and still do) not have a huge budget to work with and so we wanted to invest wisely. In the end all we could do was send through a payment and hope for the best – i.e. that the money back guarantee was bonafide.  Our experience is that a guarantee on the net does not guarantee anything and there’s not much you can do about it.

Later, as we purchased additional products and promises of immediate financial freedom we learned that advertising copy can be very slippery indeed.  So much so that what you think you are purchasing and what you actually purchase can be two very different things… All in all it became an expensive and increasingly frustrating experience.  And from that frustration this site was born. The goals of this site is to:

  1. Provide real information – no, not advertising dressed up as information, but real information, for newbies who want to start making money online. This will take the form of honest, tried and tested feedback on the products we have tried and/or are using
  2. Tips from our experience on earning money online
  3. Customer support – within the bounds of the two of us working part-time
  4. A readers forum where you can post your tips and questions

We have also invited a number of guest writers to present their points of view and experiences making money online to help us all make more informed decisions. If you’d like to write and present you experience in earning money online then please do drop us a line as we welcome all input. You can be sure our reviews are bonafide – HOW?!?!?!  I hear you ask? Well, that’s the thing about the internet right -how can you validate anything?…We racked our heads about how best to demonstrate a commitment to transparency and honesty and what we came up with is our  ‘proclaimer’. We are so tired of all the internet marketers mumbo jumbo slippery sales copy and the inevitable disclaimer that we decided to make as much of an honesty GUARANTEE as we can, given the context. Our guarantee is in the form of our exclusive proclaimer. It is as follows:

Our proclaimer:
“Yes we have tried the product/s and or services we are discussing in this article and YES we can attest to it’s efficacy – or not – first hand. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about our use of the product.”

So there you have it – either we will have tried the product in question or the person writing the article will have tried it – no matter what. We promise NEVER to write dummy reviews on anything – we have been taken with this ourselves to the point now that I do not trust any marketing I read on the net – which is sad. I hate being this cynical and it frustrates the hell out of us to feel so helpless – we are both late era baby boomers – you know accustomed to sourcing information and being relatively confident that if a product reviewed well by up to like 20 reviewers it was a good product. What we now understand is that at least 15 of those ‘reviews’ are either written by the same person or affiliates of the product or even the product owner – the internet really is the land of smoke and mirrors.

Our other promise/guarantee is that we will make each review as honest and factual as we can. I am not prepared to endorse crappy products – they do nobody any good – and I certainly do not want to be an affiliate for any crappy products. So if we have bought or are testing a lemon or a rose you will know about it – just as soon as we do.

It is clear the internet holds great potential as a ‘place’ to earn money and we believe there is more than enough to go around.   Consider that according to the World Internet Stats between the years 2000-2008 the world has seen a 342% increase in global internet usage with some regions increasing up to 1,296.2% (ie Middle East). With regions like Asia just coming on line proper the possibilities for growth are endless. We want the Work Online Money site to provide you with a wealth of strategies, pardon the pun, that will allow you to tap into this market and to earn real money online. We, the work online team, have no delusions of/desire to build internet empires or become gurus etc – that said, if those ideas rock your boat, well then live and let live. Rather we are about real people making real money and exercising real choice/control over their lives – now that’s cool :-)

One final note. In our site you will from time to time see affiliate links in articles on products. Like any other site we need to earn money otherwise we can not exist and the products are one means to achieving that goal.  And as we have already stated each review will come with a proclaimer guaranteeing we have used it. You are free to email us and ask questions about the product.  But do please read the reviews – even if a product works well, it may not suit you/’be your thing’. Remember you also need to evaluate products from a personal fit point of view too – more on that later articles. As for the sponsor, banner or advertising it is simply a way to generate funds for the site and does not mean we have tested or reviewed these products.  So please note that difference.

Thanks for coming, please – hang out for a bit, grab a beverage of your choice, sit back, relax, learn, have fun and enjoy…
