Article writing can be quite a headache, especially if you’re someone who hated writing essays in school. Nothing’s free in life and this goes for Internet Marketing as well. If you’re short on time or impatient, PPC is the way to go. If you can’t afford PPC, then article marketing might be more appealing for you. The only thing you’re investing is time.
This article will show you how to minimize your “investment” on your article marketing while not decreasing its value. If there’s anything lesson you should learn from this article, any word that should stick in your head when you “x” out of the page, it’s that the key to writing articles quickly and effectively is by writing by a system. You’ll understand why this is later on.
You should be able to write to a system that I’ll give you in this article by the end of this article, allowing you to write articles somewhat in cruise control.
The Introduction
The introduction should contain three sections: a general statement about the topic you outlined in the heading, three sentences or so telling the reader the three things you’re going to talk to them about in the article and a final sentence or two outlining what the reader will be able to do at the end of the article.
Make sure that in the introduction you’re quick and succinct, sticking to the guideline outlined in the paragraph above. The key to writing articles quickly and effectively is being able to write them while minimizing conscious thinking. By sticking to this three section introduction, you never start rambling, adding fluff to the article. This means you won’t confuse the reader and won’t frustrate them.
Ultimately, you want to make sure that the reader takes away something useful from your article and by outlining what they’ll be able to do by the end of the article, you give them a goal to look forward to. This will also encourage them to read through your entire article.
The Body
This is where you expand on the three topics you said you were going to talk about in the introduction, one by one. Again, the body, like the introduction is systematic and as long as you follow the system I’m going to outline for you here, you can make sure that the articles you write will be quick, succinct and easy to read.
Like the introduction, you first start with a general sentence about that sub-heading. The next sentence you write will be a more specific sentence about that general sentence. You’ll elaborate on that first sentence and this will allow you to transition into the third sentence which is a specific example of that specific sentence. For example here is a body paragraph about building muscle:
They say that gaining weight is harder than losing weight. People who say this are more referring to building muscle rather than just getting fat. I can definitely account for this fact: so many times I’ve tried to keep to a training schedule, only to find that the weeks of hard work I put into lifting heavy weights and over-eating only ever made me feel sick, tired and not even heavier by a kilo.
As you can see, the first sentence is general. It doesn’t even have to be true; it just has to be common. In the second sentence, I elaborated on the first, making the topic relevant to building muscle. This is especially useful if I wanted to promote an e-book to do with building muscle, say.
In the last sentence, which was a bit longer, I gave a specific example that elaborates on the second sentence. The side-effect of this line is to relate to your reader. You don’t want to come off sounding like a desperate salesperson. In order to connect with the audience, you have to show that you’ve been where they were, that you’re just like them.
Enjoy and good luck with your writing.
